Star jumped, holding his blade firmly out in front of him with both hands, and took the blow in the only way he could. He was swatted from the creatures shoulder, riding the force of the blow down into the sand. He skidded right through the line he had drawn, throwing up a cloud of the sand sand that had softened his fall.
Star hopped back to his feet, all focus on the golem before him and grinning like a madman. "Stay back, everyone." He called out, not even bothering to look and see if anyone else wanted to engage the creature. He leveled his shining sword at it. "You've my respect, creature. Know that you face Oswin Roland, son of the great knight Walter Roland. Let this be a duel to remember!"
He charges across the sand to the golems leg, swinging with all his might.
Many of the items in the chest are stange trophies and parts from monsters, others are armor pieces and weapons that do not seem to have any immediate usefulness in the fight. After some searching, Willow finds two items that may be of use.
One is a Club. Even without the tag, its apparent it bears some powerful properties. The tag identifies it as a Thundering Club, but is vague on what that means exactly.
The other item, or rather items, is a small set of firebombs, complete with matches to ignite them.
The blade bites into the Golem's leg with a metallic clang. A sound like nails on a chalkboard screeches from the golem's head, presumably from the eye socket as it is the only hole. The Golem retaliates by stomping its massive foot into the ground, sending a plume of gritty sand into the air and causing the ground to shake and pitch wildly.
Star is thrown back by the force of the stomp, spitting sand from his mouth. "Come, you don't here me crying over every little nick and scratch. Walk it off, you're embarrassing yourself." He then rushes that same leg, only this time swinging at the opposite side.
Willow stores the bombs inside his pack, making sure to keep the matches separated from them. The club he carefully picks up and holds cautiously. He then tries to climb out of the chest, climbing up on the tables if he has to, so that he can sit on the chest's ledge. Whether or not he is able to climb out, he calls out to get Star's attention.
"Star! Draw that thing away if you can and break off from it! I need you to get over here for a few moments!"
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
