Have you heard of the Avengers Assembled Edition? Someone online took every Marvel movie up to the Avengers, including the shorts with agent Coulson, and edited them together into a single 8 hour movie. In chronological order.

I've seen it, and it's not bad. You have to clear your calender for it though, and get a LOAD of popcorn.
Hey son, wanna' learn how ta' make witch balls?

Okay, then. So, I may or may not have told you guys (those of you who have me on Facebook may already know).

Anybody else feeling nostalgic? I know I am! The old Tex Avery and Friz Freleng and Hanna-Barbera cartoons bring back SO many memories, and I just can't stand the fact that they're off the air, in favor of idiotic pseudo-comedic programs! And if you have any clue who the above mentioned names are, I'm pretty sure you love them, too!

So, yeah, I'm on my way shortly to watch some of EVERYTHING:

Looney Toons
Tom and Jerry
Smurfs
Flintstones
Jetsons
Yogi Bear
Huckleberry Hound
Quick-Draw McGraw
Magilla Gorilla
Scooby Doo
Jabberjaw
Droopy
Johnny Quest
Hong Kong Phooey
Alvin and the Chipmunks

And so, so many more! I absolutely must have my super-duper old cartoon fix, ASAP! Get me my Saturday Morning cartoons, STAT! And if you have any old ones that you just absolutely MUST see, too, then by all means, comment on my status! lol

Have a nice day, folks! Be truly blessed!
So, rather than the first format I tried, posting hyperlinks to various websites, I'm gonna try posting the videos from their respective sites instead (I admit I did get a tad carried away with the iframes). I'll post whatever ones I come across, and I'll try to make sure they're entire episodes. But don't worry, the older ones tend to be shorter (less than ten minutes). Hopefully, you guys are okay with them being posted here, though. Because I really love them, and want a way to access them quickly. And if you guys are anything like me, you will find them utterly hilarious.

For Zaleramancer. I watched an episode on the SyFy Twilight Zone marathon, and immediately thought of you. Enjoy. (EDIT) A couple suggestions, until I can find the updated links: What You Need The Obsolete Man Time Enough At Last

So, guys, do you have any new movies you guys would like to see? Rather than spamming them here, I've resolved to actually post links for you guys to follow. And the site is secure, so no risk of viruses (if you have antivirus software...)

Shadowulf1 (Wulf) wrote
Three words: Captain. Planet. Movie.

And before you burst into utterly hysterical laughter at the concept, think about it. This movie could give the whole series concept a rework! Okay, stay with me.

Remember the fact that Captain Planet is supposed to be an emissary of Mother Earth, Gaia? Well, what if instead, Gaia did not actually show up in person? Instead, each of the five kids (Wheeler, Ma-Ti, Kwame, Linka and Gi) found shrines or temples in their respective home lands dedicated to an elemental goddess from that land's culture?

Within those temples, each kid finds a ring, corresponding to one of the elements. For example, Wheeler is Fire, so he'd find the temple of a fire goddess in North America somewhere. Kwame, an African earth goddess. Linka, a European wind goddess. Gi, an Asian water goddess. Ma-Ti, a South American life/fertility goddess.

Their powers combined would not SUMMON Captain Planet, but would AWAKEN him. Once. Not for a thirty minute special, and then need another ring-bump to awaken him again; once he's up, he's up. And he only needs the kids to be his eyes and ears around the world, so he knows what needs defending. And even then, he can still move of his own volition, and go on his own missions, at will. He's Earth's guardian, but he has a mind and feelings of his own, too.

The really big problem, though, would not be deforestation, or pollution of the skies, or pollution of seas, or overfull landfills, or people not recycling and being green. His foremost foes would be an alien race, on a mission of conquest, who see the planet as ripe with resources (wind, water, solar, etc) that its inhabitants never use anyway. Not to mention, a whole planet full of human labor. Score, for them, if they win. Which is why, the villains we know from the show, are working with them, in hopes of being spared enslavement, and getting in on the profits.

They don't count on a green haired blue guy in red pajamas, though. And this guy is coming with all the powers of the planet at his disposal. Aside from strength, speed, durability, stamina, regeneration, reflexes, senses and awareness attuned to the planet's own power, he can manipulate earth, water, fire, air and plant and animal life on an epic scale. Of course, not enough to make him over-powered, and instantly kill off everybody, but enough to put up an interesting and entertaining fight.

And if he absolutely must have a ridiculous weakness, rather than have him grow weak and weary in the presence of pollution (I mean, really, he's strong enough to stop polluters and other defilers of the planet, otherwise he's really helpless to save the planet he's here to defend), he could be weakened by prolonged absence from his planet. Being teleported into the depths of space, for example, would render him gradually weaker, and even this would take a while to weaken him.

So...what do you guys think? Am I being delusional over a series that I really enjoyed in my youth, or does this superpowered eco-friendly do-gooder really have the potential to give 'going green' a good name?
And just to get anybody else's creative juices flowing, consider the following. It ain't much (certainly deviating from the idea I had), but it's funny, if nothing else.

...i HATED the captain planet Tv show....and also wheeler's voice...my god that brooklyn accent.

of the movie would have one...ONE reference to saving the environment...i will shoot a oil covered seal.

Rant over but also the show only had two meaningful episodes and one was a semi tasteless episode about AIDS

 You're entitled to your opinion.

I, on the other hand, think the series and the movie (if there ever is a movie) have promise, if they weren't so heavy-handed.

Well, of course not. Every remake is getting revamped for more modern times. Corny jokes and puns don't go over well with today's audience; they barely went over with the 90s' audiences. It'll take much better word play than a simple pun to improve Cap Planet's sense of humor.
